The Mona Lisa was stolen in Paris in 1911 by Vincenzo Peruggia, a Louvre worker and italian patriot. He stolen the Leonardo Da Vinci's masterpiece because he wanted it to be returned to Italy for display. American researcher Joe Medeiros, who has spent many years exploring the mystery, found out that the real reason of the theft wasn't Peruggia's nationalistic fervour but a way of getting revenge for being mocked with the nickname "Macaroni" by his French employers, because is well known that italians eat a lot of pasta. Thanks to Peruggia's daughter Celestina, that Medeiros had interviewed before she died early this year, the researcher made up this theory which looks accurate and makes sense.
